April’s photo contest had the theme “Shadows”.

This picture “Desert Shadows” is from Jason Castellani of twobackpackers.com

Jason says:

Taken on 2-28-2010 in the desert at San Pedro de Atacama, Chile during the sunset. We turned around to look behind and us and saw these extended shadows of ourselves. The other shadows rising around us were stacks of rocks, which is done for good luck when you are at the highest elevation point in sight. Chile was just one country we visited during our year-long backpacking journey through Central and South America.

The May contest is “Sense of Scale”.
