About finding penguins far away from Antarctica, an ex-pat blogger I follow (Rio Gringa http://riogringa.com/) wrote about penguins on the beaches of Rio back in January.

For comparison, Rio is about as far from the South Pole as Chicago is from the North Pole.

Excellent episode. My vacations are usually enjoyed in warm, tropical locations, and I’ve never had a desire to visit Antartica…until now. Thanks for sharing this gem with us. Great pics. I understand the packing dilemma with photo equipment. I tend to share the same tendency to overpack every camera, lens, and accessory I own. Very enjoyable podcast. Please keep up the good work.
